Lagos Traffic Radio has been urged to improve on its sensitization drive by appealing to the Psyche of road users to always obey traffic rules.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Kehinde Bamigbetan made the appeal today at the maiden Management Retreat of Lagos Traffic Radio, with the theme: “Reinvigorating The Brand in a competitive market “.
Bamigbetan said if the station as a station of choice for motorists in Lagos improve its awareness and sensitization, it will succeed in building a bigger deterrence against traffic offenders.
He believes that if this can be achieved, the state government can pay less attention to enforcement.
The Commissioner commended the Management of Lagos Traffic Radio for organising the retreat which according to him will help improve programming on the Station.
Earlier in his welcome address, the acting General Manager, Lagos Traffic Radio, Tayo Akanle who thanked Governor Akinwunmi Ambode for his support, said the retreat is borne out of the need to chart a new path towards ensuring the onerous task of providing traffic Updates as never before.
