LAGOS TRAFFIC RADIO COMMENCES 2018 DON’T DRINK AND DRIVE CAMPAIGN ACROSS MOTOR PARKS

Lagos Traffic Radio 96.1FM has officially commenced its annual “Don’t Drink and Drive” Campaign.
The campaign which is aimed at sensitizing motorists on the dangers of drunk driving, will move across all major motor parks in the state, starting from Berger, Agege and Ikeja.
Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Kehinde Bamigbetan who flagged off the Opening Ceremony commended Traffic Radio for the initiative adding that the State Government will soon launch a programme tagged ‘Lagos Rescue’ to show the efforts of First Responders in the state.
The Acting General Manager Lagos Traffic Radio, Tayo Akanle noted that the station has raised the bar of awareness and sensitization by making use of the Social Media Platforms and also put in place ten Bill boards with’Dont’ Drink and Drive banners strategically at ten different locations across the state.
Akanle added that the essence of the campaign is to create necessary awareness and sensitize motorists on dangers of Drunk Driving that can affect their vision and sense of judgement while driving.
On his part, Federal Road Safty Corps Sector Commander, Hygenius Omeje commended the Station for the wonderful initiative by sensitizing road users on drunk driving.
Omeje also urge all media houses across the state to emulate it as their corporate social responsibilities,
Lagos State Government has advised Lagosians not to engage in activities that will affect other people during Yuletide.
